TWISTED TALES Step into the world of classic fairy tales with a twist

Some new classic stories will be brought into the modern world: the Little Mermaid fights for climate action, the Ugly Duckling becomes a tale of migration and resilience. What do you think will happen to Pocahontas?

We’ll be working with incredible teams from across Europe to guide children through reimagining classic tales, creating AR-enhanced books, exhibitions, and audio stories in multiple languages. This project is all about fostering empathy and creativity in tackling social issues—and we can’t wait to share what’s next!

It’s a close collaboration of seven partners from six European countries — Institute for Transmedia Design (Slovenia), @artrebel9 (Slovenia), @flux_design_network (Montenegro), @arttransparent (Poland), @grupa_hajde_da (Serbia), IAAC - @fablabbcn (Spain) and us @viennadesignweek (Austria) — we’re thrilled to bring this creative journey to life.
