FLOWING CONNECTIONS
TU Wien Bibliothek
20.–29.9.2024
The contribution of the TU Wien – a mix of artistic intervention, water tasting, talk, workshop, and digital presentation – seeks to strengthen our awareness of water as a resource. FLOWING CONNECTIONS is structured as two interdisciplinary focus evenings, together with the installation “Free Genie” by Regina Hügli, which takes a look at the marketing strategies of the drinking water industry and can be visited throughout the festival. On 23.9., there will be an intervention and tasting of Viennese tap water as well as the discussion “Water Qualities and Water Realities” with experts from TU Wien, relevant ministries, Wiener Wasser, the artist Regina Hügli and the artists’ collective Narratives of Water. The workshop “Sharing Water (Vienna Edition)” on 26.9. also offers a playful opportunity to learn more about Vienna, water, and climate change in the urban realm.
