Zachl&Hanserl

Zachl & Hanserl attended the HTBLA [Higher Secondary School] of Cabinetry and Interior Decoration in Hallstatt, Austria, before taking up studies in industrial design at the Vienna University of Applied Arts. In their regionally inspired works, the process of building prototypes in the developmental stage takes centre stage. It is also essential to them to take an intensive part themselves in the fabrication, which allows for the creation of finer nuances. The result is furniture and utensils that are simple and timeless, but which are still influenced by proven historical elements.
