Villa Tugendhat

In 1929 to 1930, Greta and Fritz Tugendhat had a house built in Brno that was designed by the German architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. In terms of design, layout, interior equipment, technical facilities, and integration of the building into its natural surroundings, the house later became famous as one of the world’s most important villas. This unique work of art has undergone complex historical and architectural development from the outset. The exhibition follows the historical context, history, philosophy, and construction of the Villa Tugendhat from its inception to the present day.Today, the Villa Tugendhat is inscribed onthe UNESCO World Heritage List and open to the public as a museum.
