Vera Wiedermann

Vera Wiedermann transports us with her design into culinary spheres. Born in Innsbruck in 1986, the designer came to Vienna via Milan; she studied industrial design at the Vienna University of Applied Arts and founded her own design studio in 2010. She creates table culture, designs poetic spatial installations and plans workshops all about food. For her, nothing is as interesting as objects that appeal directly to people and their feelings. And nothing comes as close to us as food. When we decide to eat something, we make it a part of ourselves. Because Vera Wiedermann has no wish to create more things than are actually in existence, her products are mainly temporary, are consumed, or after a time decompose on their own.
