Valentinitsch Design

Valentinitsch Design was one of Vienna’s first industrial design studios. It is no coincidence that the U6, a metro line designed by the company’s founder, Dietmar Valentinitsch, runs through the heart of Meidling – the Focus District of VIENNA DESIGN WEEK 2020 and the home of the Valentinitsch Design office. When Tino Valentinitsch and Michael Bauchowitz took over, the sphere of activity and range of projects of the studio expanded significantly: From sneakers for Adidas Y-3 and watches and eyewear for Givenchy to beer glasses for J. & L. Lobmeyr – the experiences gathered by Valentinitsch Design in such a wide range of sectors and markets are mutually stimulating and lead to completely new solutions – for products from firefighters’ gloves to mini solar collectors. These experiences are sources of inspiration for the AL-Time watch brand, which was jointly created with Alex Wiederin and seeks to encourage a conscious and sustainable relationship with time.

The Viennese studio Valentinitsch Design sees design as an integral part of our culture. Against today’s background of social and economic needs, they combine a range of abstract and complex functional relationships with a social and sustainable approach to processes of production, interaction, and communication, creating a longing for plain and simple products with a strong identity, unequivocal brand vision, and clear benefits. Their many years of working, nationally and internationally, for brands, corporations, startups, and long-established manufacturers, coupled with their experience of various sectors and markets, are constantly generating new synergy effects, which are reflected in the wide-ranging product portfolio of Valentinitsch Design.
