Urban Wood Systems

The photographer and passionate racing cyclist Jürgen Grünwald approached the design
studio MARCH GUT with the idea of jointly realizing his vision for a new way of storing one’s
bicycle.
Thanks to a network of regional partners and producers it was possible to not only build the
solution in situ, but also minimize distances and optimize quality control. All necessary
components are produced in Upper Austria. The basic material – timber grown in the region
of Slavonia to the south of Zagreb – is processed in the TREWIT joinery workshop in
Scharnstein.
