Seven designers with a range of focuses are combining their visions of the future in a single project that is located in the field of speculative design. In this design discipline, the task is not to flood the market with increasing numbers of new products but, rather, to experiment with alternative perspectives. Objects from near and distant futures enable us to experience utopias, dystopias, and everything in-between, and motivate us to actively help to shape the future – design as an activist and explorative tool. The members of the pop-up collective are Sarah Franzl, Ege Kökel, Stephanie Kneissl, Mia Meus, Johanna Pichlbauer, Isabel Prade, and Julia Schwarz.
