Tamara Bauer / Natascha Ickert

Tamara Bauer and Natascha Ickert met while studying urban planning at the Vienna University of Technology. Influenced by their degrees in social sciences, they work primarily with participative interventions and the idea of public space as a common good. While doing research in Bologna – “Field Trips in Public Space” – they devoted themselves to questions such as: What will happen if we regard publicly owned resources as common property? How does public space change with empowerment of the citizenry? And what opportunities present themselves in urban space? With their current project, A SEARCH FOR TRACES – LISTEN BEHIND THE FAÇADES!, they delve deeper into the themes of emotional orientation and spatial experience.
