Studio VALUN

Studio VALUN was founded by the concert organizer Nina Petermandl in 2021. On the basis of her personal experiences during the pandemic – as well as her experience as the mother of three children – the body became the central subject of her work. The artist learnt the traditional craft of making candles and began to develop a formal vocabulary, in which she dedicated herself to the transformation of the body. This resulted in sculptural, hand-formed wax objects that invite use as candles but also attention as design objects.
