Sebastian Zachl

Sebastian Zachl was born in 1984 in Steyr (Upper Austria). After finishing school, he attended the technical college for furniture construction and interior design in Hallstatt, which awakened his interest in furniture design. He pursued this passion and deepened his knowledge by studying for his degree at the Vienna University of Applied Arts. Sebastian Zachl is chiefly interested in the production process; in his works he endeavours to unite contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship. His aspiration in his ideas, models and designs – primarily related to furniture design – is to produce innovative, ecological and economic objects. At present he lives and works in Steyr (Upper Austria).
