Pecore Attive

Founded in October 2010 in the heart of Apulia, Pecore Attive is committed to the revival and development of a breed of sheep native to the area near Bari: Gentile di Puglia, or the merino of the South, as it is also called. The revival of ancient production methods is not motivated by mere nostalgia, as it stems from a deeply entrenched local conviction and economic approach. This can also be sensed after personal contact with breeders and spinning mills – (family) tradition meets innovation! Slow manufacturing – from shearing to scouring to spinning – is an essential part of all Pecore Attive products.
