Together with its hundred-percent subsidiary, the ÖBB-Postbus GmbH, the ÖBB-Personenverkehr AG (Austria Federal Railways Passenger Transport) is Austria’s largest mobility service industry. Every day, more than a million travelers choose rail or bus as transportation, more than 4.000 trains and 30.000 bus routes are at hand to serve them. Hence, the ÖBB provides for a high-performance, nationwide and sustainable mobility service in Austria. The trains in the ÖBB network travel around 145 million kilometers a year, the ÖBB Post buses 141 million kilometers. On the basis of this mileage, the trains and buses therefore travel to the sun and back every year.
