Nina Sandino

Nina Sandino was born in Nicaragua, in the Caribbean, and grew up on the Pacific Coast, where she later completed a master’s degree in architecture. In Vienna, Sandino is active as a choreographer, performer, and dance teacher. The longing in her work appears to combine artistic expression and political statement. Sandino’s artistic practice focuses on a long-established skill that supports and strengthens social connectivity in the form of contact and movement (collective dancing).
