Megumi Ito

Born in Germany and brought up in the old Japanese town of Kamakura, Megumi Ito came to Vienna in 1991 to study textile design at the University of Applied Arts. Today the designer lives and works in Vienna. Megumi Ito's lighting objects and lampshades decorate shops, hotels and private apartments. They are unique in form and style and fill the rooms with the spirit of the designer and with the personality of the people who live and work in them. "The most important thing about my work is to brighten up life with light", says Megumi Ito. With their artfully created light her lampshades spread clearness and warmth.
