ka.ma interior design

ka.ma interior design was founded by Karin Binder in 2014 and is engaged in the design of innovative, functional products and interior architecture solutions. Spaces become stages on which individual concepts can be performed. In this work, Binder plans, conceives, visualizes, and uses space as a shapeable playground. Materials are reexamined and artistically presented, without losing any sense of their function. This thirst for research brought the designer and interior architect international awards at an early stage in her career and led to her products being featured by the Neue Wiener Werkstätte as well as the BoConcept and behan+thurm stores in Vienna. This was followed by exhibitions in Milan. Karin Binder works with Austrian manufacturers, producers, and craftspeople on the design and realization of her products. The combination of materials is just as important to her as the sustainable use of resources.
