Johannes Rass

Johannes Rass is a visual artist. His projects aren’t limited to a preferred practical approach or subject area. Rather, he bases each work on a self-contained idea. This establishes the parameters as well as being the starting point, driver, and objective. The act of stepping out of context is a focus of his projects, which move between installation, photography, and performance. His artistic practice is a means to an end: Space, time, and the right moment play a key role. Snapshots are sometimes presented as time-consuming photographs. Johannes Rass lives and works in Vienna.
