InterContinental Wien

Starting in the 1960s, an international bevy of glamorous stars became established, using the global hotel chains as their bases. The InterContinental was undoubtedly the premier hotel in such a chain, welcoming stars from film, music, and fashion – including Princess Grace Patricia, the young Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, and The Who, also Jean Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, and more. It was not a seldom occurrence to meet music legends like Falco at the bar, which with its opulent chandelier still radiates an aura of glamour to this day. The InterContinental Vienna set new standards not only in the past. Currently, the famous Brazilian architect IsayWeinfeld is working on a redesign of the hotel.
