Gebrüder Thonet Vienna (GTV)

Michael Thonet (1796–1871) and his five sons were the most successful furniture manufacturers of the industrial age. In 1853, they jointly founded the company Gebrüder Thonet. Michael Thonet’s descendants changed this name to Gebrüder Thonet Vienna in 1976. In recent years, GTV has dedicated itself to working at the interfaces between tradition and innovation as well as continuity and renewal with the objective of offering a series of historic objects created by the Gebrüder Thonet in the form of new editions. At the same time, Gebrüder Thonet Vienna embodies the idea of the contemporary interior.
