Flora Lechner

Flora Lechner (born 1994 in Vienna) is a designer based in the Netherlands. In her work, she pursues an interdisciplinary approach and combines design, moving image and sculpture. She likes to see her works as small stages or potential spaces for action and plays with the idea of activation and standstill. In her work, she combines theory and practice by experimenting with the interplay of storytelling and materiality. By exploring the boundaries of production methods and aesthetics, she aims to break through conventional ideals of optimisation and question traditional notions of beauty and craft. She graduated from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna in 2018 and completed her master's degree at the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2020. Since then, she has been working as a freelance designer on various projects and participating in exhibitions throughout Europe.
