The Department for Digital Media in the University of Applied SciencesUpper Austria is incorporated into the Faculty of Informatics, Communication, and Media in Hagenberg. Curriculum and research focus here on the sectors of interactive media, games, animations, the web, and multimedia. Along with the bachelor degree course of media technology and design, the educational options also include the two master courses of Interactive Media and Digital Arts. Also allocated to the department is one of the leading research centers in the field of human being-computer interaction, the Media Interaction Lab, and also the research group Playful Interactive Environments (PIE).
