Ebru Kurbak (AT/TR)
EbruKurbak is an artist, researcher and educator based in Vienna. In her work, she often focuses on the psychological, social and cultural implications of technology. In her recent projects, Kurbak has taken a closer look at aspects of unconventional production methods for technological products. She currently runs the collaborative project Stitching Worlds at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, featuring textile production processes as alternative means for electronic objects. EbruKurbak has participated in residencies at institutions like La GaîtéLyrique (FR), LABoral (ES), V2_ (NL), and Eyebeam (US). Her work has been showcased at international venues such as the Ars Electronica Festival (AT), Siggraph (US), the Microwave New Media Arts Festival (HK),
and the Piksel Festival (NO). She is the recipient of the Erste Bank VALUE Design Award 2015.
