Dementia. Arts. Society. – D.A.S. aims to address the growing challenges dementia poses to our society via the potentials offered by art and design. The diverse expertise of art, design, science, architecture, social design, cultural and social anthropology characterize the work of Ruth Mateus-Berr (team leader), Cornelia Bast, Antonia Eggeling, Pia Scharler, Elisabeth Haid, Petra Mühlberger, and Tatia Skhirtladze. D.A.S. is located at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and is funded by PEEK from March 2016 to February 2019. PEEK is a program of the FWF (Austrian Science Fund) for high-quality and innovative arts-based research.
