In November 2006 "das möbel > das geschäft" opened its doors. There isn’t any coffee here, as there is in its predecessor, the café of the same name, which has been bringing local design into everyday life since 1998, but more furniture by designers from Austria and the neighbouring countries instead. In an area covering 300 square meters of floor space, there is something for everyone: from beds and shelves and tables and chairs to wallpaper and tableware. The articles come either from small manufacturers or directly from the designers’ workshops – furniture straight from the source. Individual wishes are taken into account; and customers are offered comprehensive interior planning and consulting, as well as being placed in contact with local designers and craftspeople.
