Célia Picard & Hannes Schreckensberger

The Franco-Austrian duo Célia Picard and Hannes Schreckensberger creates objects that tell us about today. Their works are based on the investigation of our material world, the promises of modernity, and collective mythologies and provide a link between the questions of architecture and those of contemporary art. They address issues ranging from the vernacular (that which has developed historically in a specific location) to the digital worlds, from the history of art to scientific research. The installative works of Célia Picard and Hannes Schreckensberger seek to seize upon the past in order to create a better image of the future.
