Atelier LUMA

Atelier LUMA is the design research programme of LUMA Arles. Their bioregional design practice is carried out in the laboratories and workshops as well as through collaborations and partnerships. The multidisciplinary team takes an active role in every stage of its projects, from investigating in the field to implementing research findings in local and international applications.

Atelier LUMA develops materials, processes, and objects that address the economic, environmental, and human challenges of today’s world. Through their work, they build productive and resilient networks that facilitate the exchange of knowledge and skills between communities, artisans, industries, scientists, students, and institutions.
