Andreas Palfinger

Andreas Palfinger is a New York-based artist and architectural designer. In his work, he focuses on the areas of worldbuilding and organic-parametric geometry. Palfinger’s projects embrace speculative and research-based concepts that articulate themselves in time-based media, computer generated imagery, and sculpture. His most recent projects include an award-winning short film, concepts for speculative architecture, spaces for a virtual-reality fashion show, and physical and virtual sculptures – all of which were self-initiated or created in collaboration with artists and designers or studios such as ODA Architecture, Studio Superflux, and CERN. Andreas Palfinger studied architecture, graphic design, industrial design, painting, and animated film at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, and as a Fulbright Scholar at the Pratt Institute in New York City.
