VIENNA DESIGN WEEK Embassy in Bucharest

Bucharest is welcoming us at the Romanian Design Week. The festival was formed by representatives of the city’s lively and international design scene and takes place for the third time in 2015. It presents projects in architecture, illustration and branding, graphic design, product design and fashion. We are taking part with our VIENNA DESIGN WEEK Embassy, the touring programme of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK. The embassy positions the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK internationally and presents Austrian Design beyond the festival.

Under the title "as if – interpreting Vienna" this year’s VIENNA DESIGN WEEK Embassy presents a selection of Austrian design objects, which shall be reinterpreted in workshops by visitors of the Romanian Design Week. The VIENNA DESIGN WEEK asked the renowned Austrian design office breadedEscalope to realize this year’s Embassy, which can be seen in Bucharest from May 18 to Mai 24.
