Schultouren 2021 — Vienna Design Week

Dear pupils,
dear teachers!

This year, we’ll be visiting the festival together again. We’ll be taking a look at the Festival Headquarters on Sachsenplatz and at this year’s Focus District Brigittenau, partly in small groups and partly in entire classes. And, as we do this, we’ll also take the opportunity to chat with the designers and experts from the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK in order to inform ourselves and exchange ideas about design, creative work, and the associated professions. The focal subjects that we’d like to investigate together with you from an intersectional perspective in the spirit of one of the festival’s mottos – “Bridges not borders!” – are: digitality, sustainability, cities and life, cities and art, and cities and supplies. Handouts and background information will help us to find and to focus our own perspectives and to learn together.

The OeAD supports active artistic and cultural education in schools: The subsidized school tours (ten tours, available on a first come, first served basis) must be booked 14 days before the festival. There are three lessons per tour and the cost contribution for each tour is 60 €. Further information will be available shortly.
