Valuable materials are stored in warehouses for years – discarded, because they are broken or wrongly cut, because there are too many of them, or simply because they didn’t meet expectations. And yet these items are often brand new and, in reality, wonderful. R.I.B. celebrates the beauty of the rest and brings leftover materials together in a unique collection: The nine objects are produced from varying combinations of remnants, with all the materials coming from the stores of craft-based businesses and ranging from the finest stone products to safety plates, from exclusive rarities to standard materials. This is where the undesired rest becomes a desirable one-off.
