The Vienna company Neuvermoebelt individualizes and renews old kitchens, cupboards, and more. The focus of this (re)shaping process is furniture from IKEA. The showroom of the design office with in-house carpentry in Vienna is open to interested visitors for several days during the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK. The centerpiece of the presentation is the first Neuvermoebelt cooking workshop with the three-star chef Peter Kroiss: On 28.9., Kroiss shows how he prepares the final overripe tomatoes, figs, grapes, plums, and pumpkins so that they can still be eaten during the cold season. Working together in Neuvermoebelt’s show kitchen, participants ferment, dry, and boil down the sustainably grown fruit and vegetables – before filling preserving jars that they can take home together with a recipe folder. Participation in the workshop is subject to a cost contribution.
