For the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, the Institute of Industrial Design led by Thomas Feichtner is addressing concrete and speculative future scenarios for the environment and for society: Visitors can see works from design students that are particularly notable for their social and ecological relevance – from reparable products made from renewable, recyclable, or biodegradable materials, via designs for resource-friendly production processes, to concepts for better working conditions and social standards. This debut appearance offers insights into underlying processes and sheds a spotlight on the creation of intelligent objects and user experiences, while also addressing cultural, social, and ecological developments.
