The sky’s the limit! HEITA, which was founded by Clemens Schmidberger, a former developer of high-end interiors for private jets, illustrates the design potential of veneered wood. In his workshop in the 15th district, the craftsman and designer processes colored, patterned, and plain layers into fine objects – creating a new image for a universally recognized material. The fact that supposedly brittle veneer can be formed into virtually every shape imaginable is demonstrated by Schmidberger with the help of a new bread bin, which he is presenting in the freshly opened HEITA shop to mark the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK. And he also offers festival visitors the exclusive opportunity to take a look behind the scenes and produce their own eggcup in the adjacent workshop. See what new HEITA you can reach!
