For some it is an everyday activity, for others a special passion: cycling. Together with the photographer and passionate racing cyclist Jürgen Grünwald, the design studio MARCH GUT has developed a cupboard that enables bikes of every sort to be elegantly stored in an apartment while occupying a minimum of space. During the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, U.W.S. is exhibiting a spatial installation for bicycle enthusiasts that is enhanced by lighting from AREA and offers a detailed demonstration of the possible uses and functions of the so-called “U.W.S. Base”. U.W.S. is manufactured by the TREWIT joinery workshop in Scharnstein. It uses ash wood that grows in the region of Slavonia to the south of Zagreb.
