Since 2019, the social organization neunerhaus has been offering its certification course Homeless Support Peers. Since then, dozens of peers have been helping Vienna’s homeless support facilities on the basis of their own experience. On 23.9., in the Festival Headquarters on the GSTÄTTN, there will be an opportunity to learn first-hand about the practice and theory of working as a peer: Visitors can borrow living books and learn about their experience of homelessness, their work as peers, or the training itself, while a keynote talk will offer the latest information about the peer program.
