Karin Santorso and Barbara Ambrosz, from the design studio Lucy.D, and Beate Seckauer, the owner of the Neuzeughammer porcelain manufactory, have been reinterpreting the porcelain lamp since 2017. As a preview to the exhibition “Finer Dining. Amboss Design and Dining Culture 1950–1970” (from 28.9.) in the Vienna Furniture Museum, they and their design label NEU/ZEUG are exhibiting an installation with porcelain lamps. This is a playful crossover of design and manufacture, which embodies aesthetic, form, and function as well as the experimental manufacturing process that is at the heart of their studies and lighting objects. NEU/ZEUG stands for authentic sustainability from Austria.
