Where better to get to know a neighborhood and its inhabitants than in the Beisl, the pub? The VIENNA DESIGN WEEK invites its visitors to discover Mariahilf on a tour of its pubs with two special guests from the district. In beer gardens, pubs, and coffee houses, or at the sausage stand, participants will learn more about the district and its local gastronomic culture in discussion with the invited hosts, the regulars and the staff of the various establishments. How has Mariahilf changed over the years? Who meets whom where? And what stories do such establishments tell us about the district? 

Noushin Redjaian, a graduate of the University of Applied Arts, works as artist and DJ. In her studio in Vienna’s 6th district, she forms objects and sculptures inspired by cultural history and poetry, which deal with her past and future. As part of the Beisltour, Noushin Redjaian takes participants to her favorite places in the neighborhood.
