The showcase YOUNG POLISH DESIGNERS: CARE, CONNECT, CHANGE demonstrates how young Polish designers are using the tools that they find at their disposal as a means of transforming a present that is overshadowed by the pandemic and other social and ecological challenges. The exhibition revolves around the subject of people and bodies and brings together 24 projects from eight public art academies from Gdańsk, Łódź, Katowice, Cracow, Poznań, Szczecin, Warsaw, and Wrocław. All the works share a responsible social approach coupled with great design: Findings from the fields of health, physiotherapy, and psychology are combined to create sensitive, ecological solutions that are both forward looking and conscious of tradition and reflect upon large subjects at a small scale. With its ability to look beyond the horizon, the young generation of Polish designers that is represented here is seeking to paint a thoroughly inspiring picture.
