The building of bridges between extraordinary design and extravagant timepieces has a long tradition at the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK thanks to the Swiss watch brand Rado. Centrally anchored in this year’s Festival Headquarters in Vienna-Brigittenau, one of the festival’s oldest partners presents a collection that was created in collaboration with international designers. The highlight of the same is a special model that was realized together with the French-Austrian designer Marina Hoermanseder and is based on the Rado classic “Captain Cook”. The watch by the fashion designer combines a vibrant aesthetic with a top-class clockwork – and, like the entire exhibition, once again underlines the closeness of the connection between Rado and the world of design.
