They cook with lichen, run a farm in the basement or their own furniture label, cooperate with museums and microbes, sew costumes, invent new measuring and musical instruments, build future worlds ... In the enchanting courtyard of Engerthstraße 124 in the 20th district, eleven designers from a wide range of sectors have settled down in order to work together in good company on designs that will move us forward as a society – a workshop for the future, from rough to glossy, lace skirts to boiler suits, fiction to structure. Everyone’s invited to the grand opening party, with its exhibition, market, film screening, and barbecue.
