The MAK DESIGN NITE 2021 is dedicated to zero waste glamor: Together with the conceptual collectives dasVulgo and cucinaAlchimia, and in cooperation with the team from das Kraus, the MAK invites visitors to an adventurous culinary happening. Castaway food that was previously regarded as worthless waste is recognized as a valuable resource and becomes the basis for carrying out material research at a culinary level. Spirits and vinegars are prepared and aromatized using food scraps and waste fruit and vegetables are fermented and crafted in situ into a range of dishes. All the tableware is sustainable and specially designed for the evening.
