In the airy spaces of the Festival Headquarters on Sachsenplatz the participants in this tour will explore their own understanding of design in line with one of this year’s mottos: “Bridges not borders!” What do design and creativity have to do with bridges and borders? How can they help to tear down borders and build bridges? And to what extent does design impact upon subjects such as digitality, urban food, sustainability, cities, and art? Together with the two VIENNA DESIGN WEEK educators, visitors will attempt to build a bridge between the public face of the festival and life behind the scenes.
