DESIGN CAMPUS TALK SHOW

Design Campus

27.9.2021, 7pm

The talk show stars Thomas A. Geisler, high-profile design curator, director of the Kunstgewerbemuseum, Dresden, managing director of Design Campus, and a co-founder of the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, who is joined by special guests to discuss a range of subjects from the world of contemporary design. The half-hour-long talk show interweaves contemporary global issues with historical and transdisciplinary expertise with the aim of triggering big, idealistic, systemic, and utopian ideas that can flow back into design practice and, in doing so, readdress the role of museums of decorative and applied arts. The talk show premiered in August 2021 in Dresden. Presented in a brand-new studio setting designed by chmara.rosinke, this second edition is a conversation about utopianism, design, and democracy. The pop-up design talk show is hosted by design curator and journalist Aline Lara Rezende and produced by Design Campus.
