Where better to get to know a neighborhood and its inhabitants than in the Beisl, the pub? The VIENNA DESIGN WEEK invites its visitors to discover Brigittenau on a tour of its pubs with two special guests from the district. In beer gardens, pubs, and coffee houses, and at the sausage stand, participants will learn more about the district and its local gastronomic culture in discussion with the invited hosts and with the regulars and the staff of the various establishments. How has Brigittenau changed over the years? Who meets whom where? And what stories do such establishments tell us about the district? These discussions about design and city, gastronomy and neighborhood will be photographically recorded.
