Let’s talk about it! The VIENNA DESIGN WEEK talks about various aspects of design in lectures and panel discussions: Under the spotlight were strategies of urban development and artistic ventures between Berlin and Vienna, likewise the eye-opening local color of the 15th district and the driving creative forces in the neighborhood. In contrast, a special university talk with international guests revolved around academic education. Special guest was Romania – its creative profile was the subject of a further talk. Moreover, national identity as visual message was shifted into focus on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the republic in 2018 and the prospective National Council election. On top of all this, many other options for knowledge sharing, discussion, and reflection were to be had throughout the entire festival program.
