Cabinet of curiosities, designsmithy: Both describe the workshop of mischer’traxler studio on Sechshauser Straße. What the festival audience could see here in 2017 was nothing less than overwhelming thanks to its careful presentation. On a tour of discovery between workday routine and the materials storeroom, from the basement to the ceiling, in front of and next to archived objects, current prototypes, tests and ideas for new projects were displayed in the context where they were created. “An exhibition tour that invites the visitors to seek and discover the projects in their place of origin and get an insight into the order and chaos of the office,” as it was described in the announcement. A journey of discovery that paid off!
