No one disagrees that it’s impossible to maintain a balance of innovative energy, artistic crafts, and exceptional quality and precision as convincingly as Swarovski. Once again, this was made clear by the latest objects in the Swarovski Home Collection. The Dutch designer Aldo Bakker’s modular vase system and bottle stopper, and the metal-alloy candelabra created by the Norwegian Kim Thomé – both of whom were present during the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK – fused these attributes in unique accessories. Speaking of fusion: We’re happy to announce that the close partnership with Swarovski will expand starting in 2018 with the biennial Swarovski Award for Excellence in Austrian Design.
