“Bye bye, utopia!” wrote the Berlin studio raumlabor in its mission statement. Since 1999 the architecture interest group has worked at the concrete interface of architecture, urban planning, art and intervention, addressing themes such as space, city, and urban construction as a cultural project. At the VIENNA DESIGN WEEK, Markus Bader, who’s also a member of the jury in the social design format Stadtarbeit, talked about issues relating to urban construction in Berlin and Vienna.
