Questions, questions – and a backpack full of answers. Together with the handbag label QWSTION and ECAL – University of Art and Design Lausanne, students examined new methods of carrying things, starting with the ultralight, biologically produced material CottonShell®. Under creative director Christian Paul Kaegi, they produced prototypes out of the material, which because of its unique texture is impermeable to water and functions without any extra waterproofing. Emerging from this experiment were a scarf with hidden pockets, a bag inspired by bubble wrap, and a rucksack with integrated rain jacket.
