The stuff our (home) dreams are made on: The richly colorful upholstered furniture by Kohlmaier was an absolute eye-catcher – and not only in the Festival Headquarters. A visit to their flagship store in the heart of Vienna was also urgently recommended!
Because you might not suspect it, but behind the black, high-gloss façade of
the family firm, precise, handcrafted work still goes on today as in days of yore,
cutting, ironing, upholstering, and executing traditional and new designs – for instance the sofa system GARNITUR by the wonderful Walking Chair Design Studio (Karl Emilio Pircher and Fidel Peugeot).
No wonder so many oldestablished businesses have their interiors made and
restored by Kohlmaier.
